Projects From
Valley City State University

I have chosen some of my proudest projects I've completed over the course of five years. If you wish to know more about them please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to share with you what I've learned from them.
Senior Capstone Project
May 2021
Valley City State University's online program is wonderful to use once you understand how to use its blackboard and CampusConnection websites. For my project I did a series of videos explaining how to use these websites for a new online student. I also give tips and tricks on how to deal with different time zones, how to do video calls via Zoom or Teams, and give some advice from another student's perspective I collaborated with.

Comm 311 Interviews
Fall Semester 2020
In preparation for the workplace, I took Comm 311 in the spring of 2020. This class prepared me for real-life interviews where I went through a series of interviews from surveys to professional employment. One of the key things that I learned was that you don't have to be afraid of these types of interviews in order to succeed.

LMIS 430: Administrator
Spring Semester 2018
For LMIS 430, I learned more about the administrative side of the circulation desk and the jobs of a school librarian. With this class, I delved more into the policies manual, as well as a library's budget, and collaborating with other librarians.

Internship at Morrison Holsinger Library
Fall Semester 2019
Volunteer since August 2016
For the past five years, I've been volunteering at Morrison Academy's Holsinger library. I've had the privilege of working alongside former High School Specialist Gabi Lautenbach then under K-12 Specialist Scott Pagel and High School Library Assistant Floyd Lima once she retired. In 2019, I interned for a semester under Scott Pagel, Morrison Academy's K-12 Library Media Specialist. Thanks to Scott and Floyd, I understand the job of a school librarian and that you need to have a servant's heart to serve your patrons better.
